Read John 1:1-13

“Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. (John 1:12)”

God’s family rejoices with you as you take this step of faith in receiving and believing in Jesus. You have been born again divinely as a new creation. Welcome to the family of God.

Who is Jesus? (John 1:1-5)

  1. Jesus came into being even before the existence of the world. He is describe as the Word. It is through Jesus that creation was formed.

  2. Jesus brings forth life, as light to all man. When we are living in darkness, this light shines on us and direct us back to God.

How would I know if it is true? (John 1:6-8)

  1. John the Baptist was the first to testify as witness about Jesus as light of the world that will bring life to all who receive and believe in His name. You too, will be surrounded by God’s family, testifying about the life-changing experience in the Light.

  2. In your journey forward, we pray too that you will experience the goodness of God and what it is like to be transformed from darkness to light.

My New Journey (John 1:9-13)

  1. You will always face challenges. Some old habits may be difficult to get rid of. But you have this assurance, that as a child of God, you are now born of God.

  2. The Bible in 2 Corinthians 5:17 declares that you are now God’s new creation. The old in you have passed away, you are now God’s new creation.

Application and Prayer:

God, we thank you for the gift of eternal life in Jesus Christ. Thank you for making me a new creation. I no longer live in darkness, and now choose to live in your Light. Teach me and guide me in my new journey. As I put my trust in you, be real to me for me to experience your goodness. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. He came as a witness, to bear witness about the light, that all might believe through him. He was not the light, but came to bear witness about the light.

The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. 11 He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. 12 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, 13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.
