Richard Tan

Workshop Facilitator - Evangelism

Richard Tan is the Executive Director of Singapore Youth For Christ. His journey began with aspirations in the creative field, followed by 12 years in various corporate roles. Eight years ago, he felt a clear calling to full-time ministry and joined Singapore Youth For Christ (SYFC). Today, he passionately shares the gospel with young people and leads the younger executive leadership team into the future of SYFC’s ministry in a rapidly changing world.

As a servant-leader, humility is his guiding principle—embracing diverse perspectives, staying open to new ideas, and leading with empathy. His experience in creative ministry and large-scale events has equipped him with big-picture thinking and adaptability, essential for navigating the post-COVID landscape.

Richard’s greatest concern is ensuring SYFC remains “geared to the times”, actively understanding and engaging youth in a fast-evolving culture. While adapting to digital platforms was challenging, God has continually provided new ideas, courage, and a supportive Board to explore innovative ministry approaches.

Chia Poh Fang

Workshop Facilitator - Daily Quiet Time

JWhen Chia Poh Fang received Jesus as her Savior at fifteen, she was introduced to 1 Peter 2:2: “Like newborn babies, you should long for the pure milk of God’s word. It will help you grow up as believers” (NIRV). This verse ignited in her a lifelong passion for reading, reflecting on, and responding to God’s Word daily.

Today, Poh Fang serves as the Executive Director of Our Daily Bread Ministries Singapore, where she leads with a heart for discipleship and spiritual growth. She is also a regular contributor to Our Daily Bread devotional, weaving biblical truth into everyday life.

Poh Fang shares, “I love exploring Scripture—discovering fresh perspectives, finding answers to burning questions, and applying God’s truth to real-life struggles. My prayer is that my writing will help readers experience the Bible as living and active, drawing them into its life-transforming power.”
